Non Canadian KN95 masks facing urgent recall due to offering false protection.

Imported KN95 masks are showing dangerous manufacturing defects putting wearers at risk. Looking at the photo you can see small holes all the way through the filter material of the mask. Imported product mainly from China doesn't have the same production level Inspection and quality control. It is quite shocking that these Kn95 mask could make their way all the way to the Canadian consumer with these glaring defects. It is also surprising that large Stores will purchase these types of product from trading companies in Canada.

There is a reason that there are strict Health Canada requirements for PPE. Canadian Manufacturers such as Dent-X Dentx Canada employ strict protocols for Made in Canada  Procedural Level 2, Level 3 Masks and N95 respirators. Canada and Ontario especially are quickly becoming highly specialized in the production of Masks. This includes the use of made in Canada production equipment as well as  Melt-blown filter materials.

PPE is a big topic with people who rely on it for their work being properly trained to use it effectively. Because of Covid the general population has had to hastily adapt to using it as well.

It pays to spend a bit of time to get to know PPE and Choose wisely.
